DCDSB 2025-2026 School Year Calendar Consultation

Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers:

The Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) invites parents, guardians and caregivers to provide their input on the 2025-2026 school year calendar. If you would like to submit your preference and/or provide comments on the draft calendars, we invite you to do so by completing a brief survey.

You can view the Draft 2025-2026 Elementary Calendar and Draft 2025-2026 Secondary Calendar online.

Highlights include:

• The first day of school for students is September 2, 2025.
• The proposed winter break is from December 22, 2025 - January 2, 2026. The last day of classes will be December 19, 2025. and students will return to class on January 5, 2026.
• The proposed March Break is March 13 - March 20, 2026.

The survey will close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025.

We thank you in advance for your input. Your comments will be reviewed and considered in making final recommendations for Board and Ministry of Education approval.

We will share the finalized 2025-2026 school year calendars with families once they have been approved by the Board of Trustees and Ministry of Education.
